The Founder

Roksolana was founded in London by Oleksandra Liakh.

Her relationship with textiles began a long time before the Roksolana became something real. Growing up, she was surrounded by garments being made at home, watching her mother work with knitting machines and yarns with the concentration that only comes from experience. Through those early moments she developed a respect for materials and the discipline needed to work with them.

Years later, while living in London, Oleksandra began searching for pieces that felt both refined and practical. She was drawn to clothing that could be worn often for every occasion, but still retained a sense of elegance. Again and again she found that many garments prioritised appearance over structure, softness or fit.

Roksolana grew from that understanding.

The brand focuses on knitwear that holds its shape, garments built through careful stitch calculation and developed from natural fibres chosen for their behaviour as much as their feel. Silhouette is resolved early in the process, allowing the finished piece to sit naturally on the body rather than forcing the form afterwards.

Today Roksolana reflects the meeting point of two influences: the technical understanding of textiles rooted in Eastern European craft and the rhythm of life in London.

Each piece is developed slowly and intentionally, with attention to proportion, fibre and construction. The aim is not to follow fashion trends, but to create garments that remain relevant through wear and time.
